A special THANK YOU to Mrs. English and Ms. Stabile for setting up and representing Pilla Middle School at the recent Chick Fil A Trunk or Treat! 👻🕸🎃

Congratulations to the 28 Pilla students who were inducted into the National Junior Honor Society on Monday night! 💙💛 #pillaproud of our NJHS

Today, in accordance with state law, Pilla Middle School conducted a security drill in the manner that we conduct all emergency drills, with seriousness and with sensitivity to our students and staff. Everyone responded appropriately and instruction resumed immediately thereafter. Should you have any questions, please feel free to contact the school.

Red Ribbon Week started out with the theme "From Head to Toe, We Are Drug-Free" - Wear red, crazy hair and crazy socks. Our kids delivered! Tomorrow's theme is "Wake Up! Drugs Are Dangerous" - wear pajama bottoms. Please make sure the bottoms are school appropriate - not too short or any rips or tears. Thank you for celebrating Red Ribbon Week with us!

Students in Ms. Super’s 6th grade language arts classes rewrote a chapter from their novel from a different character’s perspective besides the narrator. They worked on dialogue, proper narration, mechanics, grammar, figurative language and presenting their chapter to their classmates. 💛💙

Today in Ms. Rowan and Mrs. Panichelli's 6th grade science class, students used water bottles, beakers, sand, rocks, clay and cotton to filter water. We are #PillaProud of our scientists! 💛💙🔬

Red Ribbon Week is next week! Please celebrate being DRUG-FREE with us by dressing according to next week's theme days. Remember as always, no ripped jeans or shirts, shorts or skirts that are too short!

Congratulations to our students who were chosen to be our mascot, the Pilla Panther! A student from each grade level was chosen after a recent tryout. While everyone who tried out did a fabulous job, these students showed exceptional enthusiasm and school spirit! #PillaProud 💙💛

Our Guidance Department recently had a Respect Challenge. Students were asked to create any artistic expression to promote respect. We are so #PillaProud of the respectful creations our students made! 💙💛

A free tennis clinic by VHS head and assistant coaches is being offered to all Vineland Middle School Students on November 4th from 10am-11:30am at the VHS tennis courts. Please see the flyer for information on how to register.

Ms. Ragone's 7th grade students in the Career and Technical Education block recently had a chance to meet with cadets from Vineland High School's AFJROTC. During their visit the cadets had a chance to speak with students about civic responsibility, citizenship and community service as well as other opportunities available through AFJROTC. The cadets answered questions and practiced drills with the students. We appreciate them taking time out of their day to join our students. #PillaProud.

The "Racing Awareness for Dwarfism" event held at Sgt. Dominick Pilla Middle School on October 14th, 2023 was a great success!
Despite the weather, the event featured various activities including community vendors, food trucks, fire truck and ambulance displays, bouncy houses, a 50/50 raffle, basket auctions, a car show, and an exhaust competition.
Thanks to the generosity of the community and those in attendance, the event was able to raise funds and donations, which will go to the Pilla Activity Fund and DuPont's Skeletal Dysplasia Department.
Kudos to Mrs. Detteta for making it all possible; with the help of her family, friends, her Pilla Peeps, and the community.
We are so #PillaProud💙💛
