It’s time for AWESOME APRIL! We are kicking off our month-long Attendance Challenge, and the stakes have never been higher. 🐾
The Goal: Show up, be on time, and help your homeroom reach the top of the leaderboard!
The Stakes:
🥇 The homeroom with the best attendance wins a prize!
🍎 The teacher of the winning class wins a prize too!
Every day counts. Let’s see which homeroom has the most school spirit. See you in class! 🏫✨

Ms. Cruz's students brought Milkweed, the novel by Jerry Spinelli, to life by exploring the courtyard in search of unusual plant growth. The novel the students are reading is a historical fiction novel about a nameless, small orphan boy, later called Misha, navigating the Nazi occupation of Warsaw, Poland, during World War II. The Milkweed plant becomes a symbol of hope in a dark and tumultuous time for the main characters. Students were asked to connect their findings in the courtyard to the symbolic milkweed pods in the novel, reflecting on how even in the harshest conditions, growth, hope, and resilience can still exist.

HUGE shoutout to Riley Anthony for setting the standard of excellence on Safety Patrol! Riley is the definition of responsibility. She is always on post, dependable, and leads with a smile. Her kindness and team-first attitude make a difference every single day, and we are so proud to have her on our Pilla Patrol Team! 💛💙

Mr Rosa's Homeroom Won Chick-Fil-A Gift Cards for leading the entire month in first place!
Mrs Reid-Wulderk's Homeroom won breakfast after a four way tie was broken with the spin of a wheel!
The remaining three classes all won a free dress down! Those classes were Ms Sipin, Mrs Baldwin and Mrs Caporale's Homerooms.
Next up is our All Star April Attendance Challenge! We cannot wait to reward the top three homerooms for just showing up!
