A beautiful balloon arch capturing the multicultural theme, created by Everyjoy Moments LLC in Vineland, welcomed guests as they arrived at Mennies. Guests received a passport and a “travel” bag as they began their journey “around the world” in the all-purpose room. The event featured regions and countries including China, the Philippines, Ukraine, Italy, the Netherlands, France, Norway, Poland, Ireland, Honduras, Puerto Rico, Mexico, and the United States. Each table offered unique informational posters, artifacts, games, and, of course, delectable treats such as Pastellios, Flan, Tembleque, Mexican hot chocolate, Ukrainian punch and desserts, Chinese egg rolls and fortune cookies, Greek pita and hummus, Pork egg rolls from the Philippines, Thai lo mein noodles, French croissants, stroopwaffles from the Netherlands, and Italian meatballs in marinara sauce. There were trivia games, make your own macaroni bracelets, coloring activities and even domino games as well!
The evening concluded with an inspiring presentation from Dream Builders of NJ about the importance of embracing cultures. Families filled the room with energy and joy as they ended the night salsa dancing — with a special visit from Celia Cruz bringing extra excitement to the celebration. It was a wonderful night of learning, connection, and community pride!

Students at Petway Elementary School had a wonderful time learning about the Winter Olympics during Music Class with Mrs. Andrews!
The class explored background history of the Olympics and learned about the host sites in Cortina d'Ampezzo and Milan. Musical elements in the national anthems of the United States and Italy were compared while discussing how to show respect when anthems are played.
Everyone proudly marched with torches to the sounds of the Olympic Fanfare and Theme composed by John Williams, took part in a spirited relay using movement at different tempos, and learned about Winter Olympic sports by pretending to ice skate on paper plates while following directional and tempo changes.
The class also listened and moved with colorful scarves to Winter (The Four Seasons) by Antonio Vivaldi.
It was a fun way to explore music, movement, and the spirit of the Winter Olympics!

Nine students in Mrs. Belvett's Creative Writing class at Vineland High School have been selected for publication for their poetry submissions in The Beautiful Truth — The Power of Expression contest. Young Writers' USA, dedicated to encouraging young adults in creative writing and celebrating the importance of language and originality, will feature these talented poets in an upcoming anthology, anticipated for release by May 2026.

The students selected for this honor are:
- Hazel Carlton-Dick (Treble Lower)
- Amelia Maysonet (Treble Higher)
- Gianna Cavallero (Treble Lower)
- Jaliyah Cortes (Treble Higher/Descant)
- Tetiana Galushchak (Treble Higher)
Under the expert leadership of Choral Director Mrs. Andrews, these five talented singers will tackle a challenging middle-school-level repertoire, including works such as "A Child of Song," "Blue Skies," and "This Little Light of Mine." Participation in this festival is a significant professional achievement for both the school and its director. Mrs. Andrews is currently the only elementary music teacher in Vineland certified to send students to NJMEA-affiliated events, having completed a rigorous five-step process involving advanced training and professional clearances.
This marks the third year Mrs. Andrews has led a group to the festival. Reflecting on the impact of the program, Mrs. Andrews noted that previous participants described the experience as "life-changing," providing them with artistic and aesthetic growth that resonates long after the final curtain call. We congratulate Mrs. Andrews and our five "Petway Pride" vocalists on this remarkable achievement!

They calculated profits, explored how mining impacts Earth’s systems (land, water, air, plants, and animals), and redesigned their plans to make mining more responsible.
We are all proud of their teamwork, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills!

The crowd was then treated to performances by the VHS dance and cheer teams, showcasing their talent and adding to the excitement inside the building.
Students also took part in a variety of competitive games that kept the energy high and the crowd fully engaged throughout the event.
A special moment of the rally was dedicated to honoring Mr. Alfonso Q. Llano, Superintendent of Vineland Public Schools, as he prepares for his departure. Mr. Llano addressed the audience with heartfelt remarks, reflecting on his time with the school community and offering encouragement for the future. His positive message resonated with students, staff, and faculty, who joined in expressing their appreciation and best wishes for the next chapter of his journey.
