Home Depot Carpenter Visits Ms. Morgan’s PLTW Class
Students in Ms. Morgan’s Project Lead the Way class had an exciting hands-on learning experience this week thanks to a special visit from Rob, a professional carpenter from Home Depot.
Rob shared his expertise with students, demonstrating the proper way to use a wood chisel and explaining why safety is the most important part of any woodworking project. He walked students through real-world techniques, answered their questions, and showed them how professionals approach precision and craftsmanship.
This interactive demonstration not only supported the skills students are building in PLTW, but also helped them see the real-life applications of the concepts they’re learning in class. We are grateful to Rob and to Home Depot for providing our students with such a valuable and engaging learning opportunity!

What an incredible outpouring of generosity! The Pilla Safety Patrol recently partnered with People, Not Profit to host a schoolwide Holiday Toy Drive.
We collected toys for a couple of weeks and were able to collect 3 boxes full of toys—over 50+ toys for children of all ages.

🥇 Sportsmanship Shines at the Thanksgiving Throwdown 🦃
We are so proud of the participants in our first annual Staff versus Students Thanksgiving Throwdown Speedball Tournament!
While the Staff managed to secure the victory in a very competitive match, the real winners were our entire school community. We extend our deepest thanks for the excellent sportsmanship displayed by all competitors and the respectful, enthusiastic support from the cheering section. It was a wonderful way to celebrate gratitude and healthy competition!

Donation boxes can be found in Ms. Cruz's room (C209), Ms. Rowan's room (C204), the Cafeteria, or in front of the Main Office. The flyer is attached with more details.

Today, our 8th grade CTE students had an enriching visit to Rowan College of South Jersey (RCSJ)! 🎓 They attended a comprehensive career fair, gaining valuable insights into a variety of career paths, speaking directly with professionals, and learning about the necessary skills and education for future jobs. We also enjoyed a campus tour, exploring the course buildings and learning firsthand about the diverse educational programs RCSJ offers. Preparing our students for success!
