A free tennis clinic by VHS head and assistant coaches is being offered to all Vineland Middle School Students on November 4th from 10am-11:30am at the VHS tennis courts. Please see the flyer for information on how to register.
Ms. Ragone's 7th grade students in the Career and Technical Education block recently had a chance to meet with cadets from Vineland High School's AFJROTC. During their visit the cadets had a chance to speak with students about civic responsibility, citizenship and community service as well as other opportunities available through AFJROTC. The cadets answered questions and practiced drills with the students. We appreciate them taking time out of their day to join our students. #PillaProud.
Let's get SPOOKY! 🎃 The Pilla PTO is hosting a Halloween Dance on Friday, October 27th from 6-7:30 pm in our gym. Tickets will be $4 and will be sold on Wednesday & Thursday, Oct 25th and 26th. Students must have a signed permission slip to buy a ticket and not be on the restriction list. The "Racing Awareness for Dwarfism" event held at Sgt. Dominick Pilla Middle School on October 14th, 2023 was a great success!
Despite the weather, the event featured various activities including community vendors, food trucks, fire truck and ambulance displays, bouncy houses, a 50/50 raffle, basket auctions, a car show, and an exhaust competition.
Thanks to the generosity of the community and those in attendance, the event was able to raise funds and donations, which will go to the Pilla Activity Fund and DuPont's Skeletal Dysplasia Department.
Kudos to Mrs. Detteta for making it all possible; with the help of her family, friends, her Pilla Peeps, and the community.

Pilla Safety Patrol Shines at Wheaton Arts Festival of Fine Crafts!
On October 7 and 8, the Pilla Safety Patrol was out in full force at the Wheaton Arts Festival of Fine Crafts, and they made quite an impression! Our dedicated volunteers had the unique opportunity to "patrol" the mesmerizing Glass Pumpkin Patch, ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience for all attendees.
But it wasn't all work and no play for our fantastic team. They also had the chance to immerse themselves in the festivities, enjoying a delightful array of unique crafts and relishing the top-notch entertainment. And, of course, no festival experience is complete without savoring the delectable food offerings on hand.
Pilla Safety Patrol truly represented our community with pride, and we couldn't be happier with their contribution. Their commitment to safety and their enthusiastic participation made the Wheaton Arts Festival of Fine Crafts an unforgettable event for all who attended. If your student happened to miss getting their picture taken on October 10th and 11th, please mark down Monday, November 20th for make up pictures. They will take place first thing in the morning. Attached is picture pricing, but you don't need to send money that day. All orders take place after pictures are done with a QR code that is given to students.
We are asking students and staff to support the Phillies in their Red October playoff games by wearing red or Phillies gear (with uniform bottoms) tomorrow, Thursday, Oct 12th. Go Phils!

Mrs. English’s 7th graders conducted a lab about heating and cooling of air using plastic bottles, balloons, hot water and ice water. With those materials, they created a model of what happens and typed in their conclusions on our Science website.
