Dear Parents/Guardians:
If your child requires medication to be kept in the nurse’s office during the school year, please arrange to drop off the medication and required documentation with the school nurse.
According to New Jersey Law and Vineland Public Schools District policy, a new Medication Consent Form is required for each school year.
Medication Drop-Off Requirements:
The Medication Consent Form must be completed and signed by both the parent/guardian and the student’s primary care provider.
All prescription medications must be in the original pharmacy-labeled container.
Over-the-counter medications require a physician’s order and must remain in their original packaging.
****Controlled substances must be dropped off directly to the school nurse by a parent/guardian with documentation.**** The parent/guardian will be required to sign the medication in with the nurse upon drop-off. This includes Ritalin, Adderall, etc.
Students who are approved by their healthcare provider to self-carry or self-administer medication must have the appropriate documentation on file with the school nurse.
Please visit the district Health Services webpage for the Medication Consent Form and additional health forms:
Vineland Public Schools – Health Services
Additional forms may be required for students with specific medical needs:
Students with asthma must submit an updated Asthma Action Plan.
Students with seizure disorders must submit an updated Seizure Action Plan.
Students with life-threatening allergies must submit an updated Food Allergy & Anaphylaxis Emergency Care Plan (FARE form).
Please reach out to me with any questions. I am looking forward to a great school year!
Respectfully,
Saige Morris, School Nurse - BSN, RN

This year we will be continuing our district wide “Portrait of a Graduate” competencies with our students. We are going to emphasize this shared vision of the knowledge, skills, abilities, and behaviors that contribute to a successful individual throughout the building. We will have more information and have further discussions on how we will help your child “paint” their path to success.
Below you will find a link to information that will assist your family in navigating these first few weeks of school. Please mark your calendar for the important upcoming events and review our Student Handbook for information about school expectations, policies and procedures.
Please note that schedules will be available on Parent Portal beginning 8/17/26.
Thank you for your continued support and I look forward to an excellent school year!
