Attention VHS Seniors!
As we eagerly prepare to welcome your children back to school for another exciting year, we are thrilled to invite you to be a part of capturing the memorable moments of their first day. We would love to feature these special moments on our school's social media channels and website to celebrate the occasion with our entire school community. We had such an enthusiastic response last year that we wanted to bring it back!
For those who wish to participate, please share your child's first day of school photos with our district's social media coordinator. We believe these photos can inspire and uplift our school community while showcasing our students’ enthusiasm and positive spirit. This is open to students at any level!
Here's how you can share your photos with us:
Submission Form: Please send your child's first day of school photos as attachments via the attached form: https://forms.gle/cyYsZuU2U61vmXqs7. The form will open Thursday, September 5 at 7 a.m.
Include a Brief Description: Provide a brief caption or description along with your photos to help us understand the context and the excitement your child is feeling.
Permission: By sharing your photos with us, you grant the district permission to use them on our official social media channels and other school-related materials. Rest assured that we will always handle your photos with care and respect your child's privacy.
Deadline: Kindly submit your photos by Friday, September 6, to ensure they can be featured promptly. Photos may be shared periodically throughout the first few days of school based on the order they are received.
Please also remember to keep photos positive and appropriate for the school setting. Ensure that anyone appearing in the photos is dressed appropriately. Avoid any gestures or poses that may be considered offensive or inappropriate. We are not looking for summer/vacation photos or unrelated photos. The district retains the right not to use photos that do not meet this criteria.
We are excited to create a positive first-day experience for all our students, and your participation in this endeavor is greatly appreciated. Let's make this year's first day of school memorable and inspiring for everyone!

Welcome back to a new school year! All students will be at a paid status for the 2024-2025 School year. To be eligible for Free or Reduced price school meals, an application must be submitted to the Food Service Department. Eligibility for Free or Reduced status qualifies your student for additional benefits and discounted services.
Please be advised that any students who qualified for Free and Reduced meals in the 2023-2024 School Year will be changed to Paid status as of October 2024. If you have recently submitted a new application, it may take up to 3 school days to process.

The VHS Marching Band would like to send out a THANK YOU to the community for supporting them with their donations at the car wash on Saturday, August 24th! The donations totaled $1,084. The student members greatly appreciate it! Please watch for the next event to show your support if you couldn't come out. We have a 50+ member band, and all funds help with uniforms, competitions & fees, trip expenses, and more!
