Some important information from our Food Service Department!
Welcome back to a new school year! All students will be at a paid status for the 2023-2024 School year. To be eligible for Free or Reduced price school meals, an application must be submitted to the Food Service Department. Eligibility for Free or Reduced status qualifies your student for additional benefits and discounted services.
Please be advised that any students who qualified for Free and Reduced meals in the 2022-2023 School Year will be changed to Paid status as of October 21, 2023. If you have recently submitted a new application, it may take up to 3 school days to process.
Vineland Public School offers several options to apply for Free and Reduced meals. Please go to the district website at www.Vineland.org under Departments and Food Service. Vineland Public School does offer online application by visiting www.PayPams.com/onlineapp
Attention incoming middle school students! Vineland is excited to offer several sports programs that focus on student-athletes learning foundational skills. If you are interested in playing a sport this school year, see the information on the attached flyer.

Attention Class of 2027! Don't forget - August 15 & 16 is Freshman Orientation! Students with last names beginning with A-L attend on August 15 and last names M-Z on August 16. Both sessions will be held from 9am-12pm. We can't wait to welcome you to Vineland High School!

Spread the word! Registration is still open for Vineland's FREE preschool program. With only one month left until the first day of school, this is the perfect time to make sure you are registered and ready to go! Simply visit vineland.org and click on "registration" or call 856-794-6700 and press 1 for transportation & registration.
The ESY students in Ms. Hirleman's class set a goal to fix up the gardens and plant vegetables (started by the VHS RISE greenhouse) at the Arc of Cumberland County for their community project this summer. The Arc of Cumberland County offers services to children and adults with disabilities with a variety of programs such as after-school care (ASO) and supportive employment. The ESY students worked very hard and cleaned out the garden beds, added topsoil, and planted and watered the vegetables. The emphasis of this project included the use of teamwork, and how big projects can be completed easily when everyone does their part. They truly enjoyed helping out an organization that many are a part of, as well as learning to use tools that will further their skills in life. We are very proud of all of our high school ESY students who committed to contributing to their community AND completed their goal for the summer!

The RISE ESY students completed their summer session on Thursday, August 3rd. Community-based and work-based learning experiences were enjoyed by all the students this summer. This week, stops at the Salvation Army, cleaning up along Landis Avenue for the Vineland Downtown Improvement District, and OASIS Sanctuary were the highlights along with a special stop at Rita's Water Ice. The RISE students also finished up their work in the gardens at the VHS South and went to Target for some life skills training. We hope all of our students had a great summer, and wish them the best as they move forward in September! See you soon!
The ESY students in Debra Waldorf’s class finished up their storybooks last week! The student-written stories were based off of drawings the students had done earlier in the summer. They were extremely proud of their work!

Don't forget - we have two great fundraisers coming up to support the VHS Marching Band! Come out on Saturday, August 19 for a car wash and a Community Yard Sale. The car wash will take place from 10am-2pm and the yard sale will take place from 7am-2pm. Both will be held at Veterans Memorial School, 424 S. Main Road.

We want to welcome our newest member, Makema Douglas, to the Vineland Board of Education! Mrs. Douglas was sworn in at last evening’s Combined Meeting. We look forward to your positive influence and strong commitment to enhancing educational opportunities for all of our students.
Mrs. Douglas was joined by her husband, Shawn Douglas, and sworn in by Judge Demetrica Todd-Ruiz.
We had an AWESOME time last night at National Night Out! It was fantastic seeing so many of our students, families, and members of the community stop by and say hello. Our book giveaway was a huge success and over 260 people entered to win a produce basket, generously donated by Muzzarelli Farms.
None of this would have been possible without the incredible effort and support from our exceptional administrative staff, dedicated warehouse crew, and Sodexo Food Service. Their hard work behind the scenes ensured that everything ran smoothly, and we couldn't be more grateful. We also want to extend a special shoutout to all the amazing volunteers who showed up with enthusiasm and dedication, making the event truly special.
Vineland Public Schools truly came alive last night, and we can't wait for more fun-filled events in the future. The sense of community and togetherness was incredible, and we are determined to keep nurturing these connections that make our school district so exceptional. Special thank you to the Vineland Police Department for making this all possible. Here's to more wonderful moments ahead!
