VHS Community, We want to inform you that moments ago, a sensor was triggered while work was being done in the VHS Asselta Theater, causing the fire alarm to go off. This prompted an evacuation of students and staff at the Asselta Building as a precautionary measure. The situation was quickly assessed, the fire department responded immediately, and it was determined that there was no fire or danger to our students and staff. All students and staff were safely evacuated and accounted for. We apologize for any concern this may have caused and appreciate your understanding as we prioritize student safety. Thank you to our staff and students for following our safety protocols.

VHS Community, We are beginning to see a rise in lates to school due to students roaming the halls instead of proceeding to class after entering our buildings in the morning. These lates result in significant amounts of missed class time and the potential for a loss of credits. If buses are late or security lines are delayed, students may be given an excused late to school. Please log on to your Genesis Parent Portal. If you notice an elevated number of latenesses to school, please engage in conversation with your students about promptness to Homeroom in an effort to reduce latenesses. Thank you. -VHS Administration

Students will be able to work quietly to make up missing assignments and restore their seat time missed during the school day. All students with unexcused absences are eligible to attend. VHS Families, Vineland High School campus was placed under a Shelter in Place from approximately 9:30 am until 9:48 am today, April 16, 2024. The Shelter In Place was a precautionary measure as a result of student conflicts within the building. We ask that our students continue to communicate efficiently and effectively with staff at VHS to ensure the safety of our school, as safety is and always will be our number one priority. We also ask our parents and guardians to have ongoing conversations with their children regarding the proper use of Social Media. Words have meaning, and we will always put our student’s safety at the forefront of our decision making. Thank you. Mrs. Alvarez and Mr. Adams VHS Principals
