Pilot program to go into effect in middle schools in April

Dear parents and guardians,

Please see the attached letter from Don Robbins, Supervisor of P.E. and Athletics.

As part of a pilot program that arose following COVID-19 restrictions, middle school students will not be required to change for Physical Education class. Athletic footwear will continue to be required for participation. PE participation, grades, and instructional/activity time all saw positive changes over the last two school years, which has led to the implementation of this program.

The program will go into effect on April 12, 2022, and remain for the fourth marking period. At the end of the school year, this procedure will be re-evaluated to determine if it will be employed for the 2022-23 school year.
