District to limit spectators during winter sports events

On Thursday, January 6th New Jersey entered a very high activity level (red zone) related to Covid-19. In an effort to provide our student-athletes an uninterrupted winter season, in addition to our existing Covid protocols the following procedures will be put into place on Wednesday, January 12th.

  • The concession stand will no longer be open for home athletic events.

  • We will operate our athletic facilities at a reduced capacity. (50%)

  • Visiting team student-athletes will be permitted two guests, Vineland High School Student Athletes will be permitted four guests. Vineland Student-Athletes will be given four tickets to take home the day prior to a contest.

  • Spectators' temperature will be checked as they enter the gym. Any spectator with a temperature of 100.3 or above will not be permitted to enter the facility.

  • All home contests will be live streamed as often as possible.

  • Weight room and after school athletic activities that are not associated with a winter sport will be limited to 25 participants until our region is no longer in the “red zone”. No after school activities will be permitted to be in the hallways.

These additional safety measures will be put into place if our region reaches the “red zone” and will last the duration of our region being deemed very high activity level. We appreciate your patience and understanding during these trying times.
