SCREENINGS

The school nurse will do health screenings throughout the school year as noted:

Ø Height & weight for all grade levels

Ø Vision for grades K, 2 and 4

Ø Hearing for grades K, 1, 2, and 3

Ø Blood pressures for all grade levels

Ø Color perception for 2nd graders only

Ø Scoliosis for grade 5 (usually done at end of school year)

If you feel your child is having some difficulty in any of these areas prior to their scheduled screening, please feel free to call the nurse and she will evaluate him/her at that time.

Should the nurse find your child has a problem, a notice will be sent home for you to obtain further evaluations from your physician or practitioner.
