Holiday Poinsettia Sale to Benefit Project Graduation

Project Graduation is once again revving up its fund-raising campaign to garner the $50,000 plus needed for the annual student safety event, according to program officials.

Project Graduation is a free all-night drug and alcohol-free party for seniors to celebrate their high school graduation. The location for this celebration is always a secret known only to a few of the organizers and never revealed to the students until their actual arrival at the site.

For the past three years, through a variety of events and broad support from the community, Project Graduation was fully funded.  But now, the group is starting a new campaign because state budget cuts again leave the affair without dedicated financial support.

The first event on the agenda is the Annual Holiday Poinsettia Sale.  Parents and members of the community are asked to help support Project Graduation by purchasing a six-inch holiday plant for $10. Color choices are red, white, pink, and marble.

Those in the community who would also like to help the cause by purchasing poinsettias are asked to submit an order, accompanied with payment, no later than Wednesday, Dec. 3.

Orders should be sent to Project Graduation c/o Ms. Fiori at VHS. The address is 2880 E. Chestnut Ave., Vineland, NJ 08361.

Checks should be made payable to the “Vineland High School Activities Fund”.

Plants will be available for pickup at the South Campus Auditorium from 2:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. on Dec. 10.
