Petway Elementary School held its final "Pride Day" of the school year on Tuesday, concluding the year on a grand scale by celebrating the school's recent designation as a National School of Character, one of 88 schools across the country to receive the designation. This is the second time Petway has received this high national distinction, following their first award in 2014.

Congratulations to Petway fifth grade student, Dominic Mercado, for winning first place in the district's Future Chefs Competition. Dominic won Petway School's Future Chefs Competition last month. On March 27, 2019, Dominic competed to become the district level champion at Wallace Middle School. Dominic's winning recipe was a Mexican Watermelon Salad.
Second grade Petway Patriots from Mrs. Gruccio's class led the flag salute Tuesday night at the Vineland City Council meeting. Each child received a certificate of appreciation from city council.
