This year Petway Elementary School opened “Brosh Beach” thanks to the generosity of the Brosh Family.  Brosh Beach is a part of Petway’s ongoing effort to create a “Trauma Sensitive Approach” to education. On Wednesday, September 11, Petway Patriots participated in our first Spirit Day.  Students showed thier Patriotic Pride by wearing Red, White and Blue.  

Petway Elementary School held its final "Pride Day" of the school year on Tuesday, concluding the year on a grand scale by celebrating the school's recent designation as a National School of Character, one of 88 schools across the country to receive the designation. Congratulations to Petway fifth grade student, Dominic Mercado, for winning first place in the district's Future Chefs Competition.  Dominic won Petway School's Future Chefs Competition last month.  On March 27, 2019, Dominic competed to become the district level champion at Wallace Middle School. Dominic's winning recipe was a Mexican Watermelon Salad.

Second grade Petway Patriots from Mrs. Gruccio's class led the flag salute Tuesday night at the Vineland City Council meeting. Each child received a certificate of appreciation from city council.  Students were commended for being an important part of the city of Vineland.  Mrs. Gruccio, Mrs. Frederico, and Mrs. Mongelluzzo attended the meeting to support our Petway Patriots.
