Summer Reading Information

The summer reading program for the Vineland Public School District is intended to encourage students to read high-interest topics of their choice while practicing critical analysis skills essential to becoming life-long learners. Summer reading is a required assignment for students beginning grades 6 through 12. A voluntary assignment is available for students entering grades 1-5. All assignments and resources to help students complete the summer reading tasks can be found on the district website or by clicking this link (Summer Reading Assignments). Virtual summer reading support will be available to a limited number of students throughout the summer.  Teachers will provide assistance with selecting appropriate reading material and completing the summer reading assignment through Google meets and video lessons. If you would like your student(s) to receive support with summer reading and essential reading skills, please complete the Summer Reading Support Form

Students beginning English IV will need a copy of "The Summary of Grit" by Angela Duckworth.  Beginning June 22nd, copies of the book will be available for pick up at the Landis Administration Building (61 W. Landis Avenue, Vineland, NJ 08360) from 8 am until 12 pm.
