Immunizations

State law mandates that students in the Public School system have specific immunizations prior to entering school. The requirements for the kindergarten students are as follow:

 DPT, DtaP, Td, DT, DTP/Hib, or Tetramune  (Diptheria,Tetanus,Pertussis)  :

• 4 doses with one given on or after the 4^th birthday

 IPV, OPV, or eIPV (Poilio):

•  3 doses

 MMR (Measle/Mumps/Rubella)

•  1 dose on/after the 1^st birthday

2^nd MMR or Measles dose at least 1 month after the 1^st MMR dose

HBV, Hep B (Hepatitis B)

• 3 doses (series: 2^nd dose 1 month after 1^st , 3^rd dose  at least 2 months after 2nd )

Additional Note: MUST HAVE at least ONE DOSE OF EACH of the required immunizations in order to be admitted into kindergarten or first grade.

 For those who have NO INSURANCE, the ‘Shots for Tots’ Program is available.
