Mennies' First Day Celebration
Dr. Mennies School recently received a
Promising Practices
Award from the Character Education Partnership for our 2008 First Day
Celebration!
Parents are welcome to
attend the First Day Celebration from 9:00 am to 11:15 am.
Students should arrive by
bus or car as normal on the First Day of School.
Students will be working
with their teacher from 9:05 am to 10:00 am. During this time, parents
will be in the All Purpose Room for a Community Information Fair.
Representatives from the following will be available:

Parents are invited to
attend our Welcome Program from 10:00 am to 11:00 am on the blacktop playground.
Several local community leaders will speak to our students, including
Superintendent Charles Ottinger, Jeff Van Drew, Nelson Albano, Matt Milam, Mayor
Robert Romano, and several Board of Education members.
Parents are invited to their
child's classroom from 11:00 am to 11:15 am for refreshments.
Parents are dismissed at 11:15 am.
