Fall Festival 2021

On Friday, October 22, Durand students and their families enjoyed a night of fun at the school’s 15th Annual Fall Festival.  The two hour event was slightly different than in the year’s past, but surely still tons of FUN!

For the first time ever this event was held completely outside.  We couldn’t have asked for a more perfect fall night.  We are so grateful to our PTO and Rental Country for helping with lighting.  Durand students and their special guests enjoyed delicious treats, played fun games, and had an opportunity to stroll through a festive trunk-or-treat, a first time addition to Fall Festival! Although costumes were not necessary, many students could be seen dressed up and out of their school uniforms for this special evening.  With stacks of tickets in hand, students lined up throughout the night to pie the principal, Mr. Greco, in the face, have their fortunes read by Madame Boo Shay, aka 5th grade teacher Mrs. Bucci, and pick a pumpkin in the patch, among many other things.

From planning to cleaning up this event would not have been possible without the help of the Durand Family.  Durand faculty and staff donated snack and beverage items, as well as manned the many different activities necessary for the event to happen, even extended family members of Durand faculty and staff could be seen lending a hand.  Each year Durand students look forward to this event and each year it gets bigger and better.  Most importantly, this event is a great way for students and families to spend a Friday evening together and see just how wonderful Durand School is.  In the spring Durand faculty and staff will be at it again, this time hosting their annual Spring Fling!
