Substitute Information: How to Apply as a Substitute Bus Driver

Submit application with two forms of identification (current driver license & social security card).

Validated Permit – after passing written test at DMV showing place, date & time of road test
Fingerprints & Criminal Background Check - Vineland Board of Education Personnel Department, 625 Plum St, Lower Level, ($78.00 fee, by appointment only)
Physical Examination & T. B. Test - forms provided
Training - Training is approximately 40 hours. A $5.00 registration fee, (Money order only) payable to the Vineland Board of Education will be collected before training begins. Trainees are not compensated during the training.
