The IMPACT program is a joint venture of the The City of Vineland, Vineland Public Schools, South Jersey Healthcare, The New Jersey Department of Human Services, and The New Jersey Department of Education, and The New Jersey Department of Children and Families. The IMPACT program links Family, School, Healthcare and Community through multiple grants from the NJ Departments of Children and Families and Department of Human Services.
The Parent Linking Program provides Vineland Public Schools students that are pregnant or parenting with a comprehensive program that allows them to stay in school and obtain their diploma, while receiving child care for their child. In addition the participants receive a class at IMPACT everyday on topics including: life skills, child development, nutrition and other topics that are useful in the students daily life. The goals of the program are: to eliminate a repeat pregnancy, high school graduation and a reduction in child abuse and neglect. The Family Outreach Program provides Abbott Preschool Provider Family Workers with social work support as they provide support to families attending their respective child care centers. The social workers provide individual and group support and are “advisors” to the Family Workers as they obtain the Family Development Credential. For information please call 856-794-6700 ext 6610
IMPACT offers a Child Care Program that is licensed by the NJ Department of Human Services and accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children. Our state of the art facility provides quality care for infants from 6 weeks old to preschoolers up to age 6. The IMPACT Health Center provides episodic care to children enrolled in the IMPACT child care, teen and preschool program. In addition, CPR and First Aid training is available to staff, parents, and community members from our certified nurse.
