The mission of the Vineland Public Schools is based upon the conviction that all students can learn. We recognize that a quality educational experience is the result of a strong partnership of parents, teachers and the community. We challenge and encourage students to become active participants in the quest for excellence. Our goal is to ensure a safe, creative, stimulating and caring environment which promotes self-esteem, sound character, responsibility and respect for diversity. This atmosphere will enable students to become knowledgeable, skillful, life-long learners who are contributing citizens in our changing society. We expect the best from our students and will give no less of ourselves as educators.
Vineland Public Schools is located in the heart of South Jersey, with access to major metropolitan and resort areas. Our district, one of the 20 largest in the state, includes 16 schools serving nearly 11,000 students.
We strive to facilitate the educational, physical, social and emotional growth of our culturally diverse population and to prepare students for life in the twenty-first century. Our comprehensive educational programs provide all children with opportunities to excel in a wide variety of academic and extra-curricular areas. The accomplishments of our students are a tribute to their talents and the dedication of our teachers and staff, but it is also a reflection of actively involved parents and guardians. We seek the very best education for all students despite ever-present economic challenges. We promote and facilitate a spirit of respect, cooperation and open communication within our supportive community. We encourage parental and guardian participation in our schools through consistent and fruitful dialogue between parents and staff. It is only through cooperation and communication that schools and communities can be partners in providing the very best for all students.
