Veterans Memorial School Career Exploration

The Vineland High School Entrepreneurship students spent a full day recently teaching the Veterans Memorial CVineland High School Entrepreneurship students at Veteran's Memorial School.areer Exploration students about business. Three VHS Seniors reviewed the skills and concepts needed to become an entrepreneur.

Financial Investments, design, manufacturing, and marketing concepts were all discussed in detail by the VHS students accompanied by their teacher Mrs. Valerie McDonough.

The Family & Consumer Science Career Exploration students followed up with a 'virtual reality' experience of creating their own business. The students worked as a Corporation with acting President, Vice Presidents of Design, Marketing, Manufacturing, Sales and Finance. Each corporation created a business plan, manufactured a product (friendship bracelets), marketed and analyzed a financial statement at the end of the experience.

This experience offered a window into the world of Entrepreneurship as a possible career path. The opportunity was beneficial for both our VHS and VMS students.
