Food, Reading and Fun Cap Read Across America Week
To help celebrate the joy of reading, special events were held every day last week by preschool teachers at the IMPACT Center, Oak & Main Road School and D’Ippolito School.
The teachers shared special stories with the preschool children and also provided opportunities to learn more about cooking, said Pauletta Berger, a preschool teacher at IMPACT/Nash.
The week culminated with a Dr. Seuss Birthday celebration on March 2 that included 24 pictorial displays showing each classroom’s involvement in the activities, as well as samples of the food prepared. The event drew a large crowd that included parents, friends and school district administrators, staff and members of the board of education.
Representatives of the Vineland Public Library hosted a special story-telling time in the all purpose room.
