The VHS team included Jessica Dzindzio, Kayry Segarra, Paul Cohen, Andrew Radcliff and Joey Contreras.  Also competing in the contest was VHS Team 2, which included Lina Truong, Xin Wai Liu, Sonal Puri and Jin Dong.

Photographs of the VHS team will be displayed at the Panasonic Corporation and also at the New Jersey Institute of Technology, which is a partner in this project.

“The log book is the document that an engineer presents in order to legalize his invention,” said Villar. “This is a very difficult prize to win considering that many of the schools in the competition are engineering magnet schools and we had no engineer helping us. We did it all ourselves and is not an easy task. Our students did a wonderful job and I am very proud of them.”

The final round of the competition was held at the Panasonic Art Center in Newark.

“The students had a great time and got to see what REAL competition looks like,” said Villar.
