GEAR UP eligibility data enroute to families

Vineland Public Schools is sending information through the mail to the homes of students in grades 8 through high school explaining GEARUP (Gaining Early Awareness and Readiness for Undergraduate Programs) and student eligibility.

A website has also been created so parents and students alike may secure all information regarding this program. The website is http://www.vineland.org/gearup/index.

The mission of GEARUP, which was enacted in 1998 as an amendment to the U.S. Higher Education Act, is to significantly increase the number of students who are prepared to enter and succeed in postsecondary education.
