The Vineland High School South gymnasium was filled to near capacity Tuesday night as students and fam
ilies learned more about the wide variety of clubs and extracurricular activities at the school.
The annual club night was one of the most well attended in recent memory, said Hope Johnson, Assistant Principal.
Students slowly circled the gym, pausing at more than 40 tables and exhibits that showed the club or activity in which they had interest. Many asked questions while others immediately signed up to participate.
Johnson said it is important for students to be involved and volunteer to help their community, and many of the school’s clubs are focused on public service, environmental consciousness and civic involvement.
She said club activities are just one of “many opportunities for students to learn and grow.”
