To take the GED test you must be at least 16 years of age,
cannot have received a high school diploma, and cannot be
currently enrolled in an accredited high school program. If you are between
16 and 18 years of age you must have parental or guardian permission
to test.
The State approved Permission forms can be obtained at the Vineland Adult Education
Center. Parents
or Guardians should accompany under 18 candidates to registration. To
register for the test you must bring the following with you at the
time of registration.
1.
Two
forms of identification, one of which must be a photo ID. The Photo
Identification must be government issued. Government issued Ids include
photo drivers licenses, passports, non-drivers photo identification cards,
casino licenses, and other government photo identification.
2.
In
addition to the two forms of identification you will need a $50.00 MONEY ORDER made
payable to
the
Vineland Board Of Education. See #4 below for retesting charges.
3.
IF
YOU ARE BETWEEN THE AGES OF 16 AND 18, YOUR PARENT OR GUARDIAN SHOULD
ACCOMPANY YOU TO REGISTRATION TO COMPLETE THE NECESSARY PERMISSION SLIPS.
4.
If
you are retaking one or more of the subject tests and have
not tested at the Vineland
GED Testing
Center, you
must bring a copy of your previous test scores with you to registration. The
charge for retaking one or more of the subject tests is $10.00
per subject.
Remember there are only 30 seats available and those seats
fill almost immediately.
